Nutritional Therapy...
The nutritional therapist will create with you a personal eating plan with nutritional supplements and herbs, possibly to include vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and digestive factors, to help relieve and prevent disease, enhance performance, and improve healthy life expectancy. Nutritional Therapy is a scientifically based, natural Complementary Therapy, using such modalities as physical examination, questionnaire, with specific non -invasive testing, such as saliva and hair analyses - although diagnostic procedures vary depending on the background and skills of individual practitioners. A course of Nutritional Therapy can improve muscle to fat ratio, normalise hormones, relieve food intolerances and allergies, and benefit all chronic states of dis-ease. You will need a course of sessions plus follow-up sessions to check progress and keep you on track.

What is Nutrition?
Nutrition is the process of being nourished, providing the body with the correct balance of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals needed for fuel, growth, repair and optimum health. Every cell in the body is fed by the food we eat, whether it be skin cells or brain cells.
The body has an amazing capacity to heal itself. Diet is one of the most potent ways of helping it do so and what's more, a way that you have control over. Some of the fringe benefits are increased energy, vibrant health and vitality.
There is no 'blanket' diet for everyone, but there are general guidelines that can be applied to all. Refined foods, stress, caffeine, pollution, medication and many other factors can impair our health, digestion and immunity. Optimum nutrition can help limit these effects and lead to a more fulfilling and enjoyable life.
Key Principles of Nutrition:
* Digestion of food and Elimination.
The purpose of digestion is to break down food so the nutrients can be absorbed, but disposing of the waste products is just as important.
* The quality of food does matter.
We put the emphasis on fresh, whole produce with as little as possible added or taken away.
What can nutritional therapy do?
Optimum nutrition can improve, and in many cases prevent, the following conditions:
* Irritable Bowel Syndrome
* PMS
* Arthritis
* Skin conditions, (Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne)
* Cardiovascular complaints (high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol)
* Cravings
* Food allergies
* Polycystic ovaries
* Migraines
* Depression
* Anxiety
* Infertility
* Stress and weight gain.
What are the benefits of nutritional therapy?
* Increased vitality,
energy and wellbeing
* Healthier skin,
hair and nails
* Improved sleep
* Increased libido
* Fewer colds and infections
* Positive mood
* Mental clarity and concentration
* Weight management
- These are just some of the benefits you can expect by following a nutritional strategy.
